Very large Fischer This Fischer is one of the largest blow mold machines in all of North America. It has three 5 1/2 inch extruders feeding a single 264 pound accumulator head and is capable of pushing lots of plastic. It has a MACO 8000 control which was installed in 1988. The platens will hold a mold up to 87 inches wide by 125 inches high with a rather substantial shut height. This is ideal for making large parts like storage tanks up to perhaps 1000 gallons capacity or possibly even more, but is probably not an ideal startup machine for a small company wishing to get into the bottle business. |
